The History of Hexicon Fantasy Roleplay (III).... What is 'The Hexicon'? Hexicon Fantasy Roleplay employs an interlinked cosmological framework to describe the relationships between the various races, deities, seasons, astrological symbols, constellations, elements, alignments and magic-using professions.
This framework is used to determine for example a Character's particular magical weaknesses and strengths depending on the season of his or her birth and also to direct his or her actions (via a Character's personality). In the world of Korin-Thar, the Hexicon is an artifact, a powerful device that can predict the future and influence the present. It is similar in design to an astrolabe and made of a number of concentric circles each of which represents one of the layers in the Hexicon cosmological framework.
This structure has been a feature of the system almost since it's beginnings and seemed like a suitable choice to model the system's logo and 'feel' around when we were looking for a replacement for 'Kielan's System'.
