Walk on Water

What happens if a wizard casts Walk on Water when he/she is already below water? Does the spell cause them to bob to the surface or does nothing happen? If it does cause them to surface, how fast do they rise?

Re: Walk on Water

Mmm, good question.  That's a spell that clearly could have done with a longer description. I reckon the wizard would still have to get themselves to the surface, but having done so could then haul themselves up onto it. Does that seem reasonable?

I like the bobbing Idea..  Then you can have some hunter doing some duck hunting....  See a bobbing magician in the water.... mistake it for a duck and yell "DUCK".......... Fun times had for all!

Re: Walk on Water

Thanks Kielan, that seems reasonable.

The bobbing would also have meant you could kill someone with the spell - someone's deep under water, you send them shooting to the surface... instant "bends". :-)
